Dancing East
My friends who live east of California's Sierra Nevada have been complaining about winter, sun deprivation and drifting snow. They're impatient for spring, for the first tender green shoots to poke through the chill that lies heavy on the land. While everyone else is bundled up, I've been out in gardens and nurseries, greeting spring with warmth and joy.
I'm posting some images from the last couple of weeks that I hope will be harbingers of the coming season. Don't despair. I've seen spring in her gossamer gown waltzing barefoot across the valley, dancing east.
