Sacramento Garden in Late Autumn

In my garden today, after a fun and peaceful Thanksgiving, temps still below freezing after sunrise and there's much to do -- leaves need raking, leggy mums need a trim, undersized navel oranges new pruning. Summer tomato plants have been pulled and mulched. But, more than anything, it's a time of musing and discovery. Thank you for visiting my garden. Let's take a little walk -------

The beautiful, golden ginko in my front yard has dropped a carpet of fan-shaped leaves on the lawn.

Frost burned rose

Dancing Ladies in my courtyard survived
the freeze with their skirts intact.

            Mourning Dove without his mate.

Last of the pomegranates.

Too cold for the hibiscus to bloom.

                                                              Ho Tai spreading prosperity.
